After last weeks performance and choice of substitutions, when the supporters bus arrived at Alloa's recreation park to find out that Frank Conway had been dropped after being one of our most consistent players peoples reactions ranged from surprise to shock to anger.

Ray Stewart is having a tough time winning over the support and but for Man of the Match Jim Sherry's late winner his popularity with the support would have plummeted further. This was a better performance in an attacking sense however with the players now happy to commit to taking responsibility of shooting. The manager must be congratulated for this. The downside however was that the defence was left wanting, this could have cost us dearly with goalkeeper Ian McCaldon having an uncharacteristicly shocking performance. Whether he cost us any goals directly is debatable but he didn't help.

Alloa took the lead in the match after two minutes before Paul Deas levelled with a cracking left foot shot. Livi took the lead with a diving Jim Sherry header after John Robertson flicked on a Deas Cross just after the half hour. Willie Irvine levelled for Alloa from the penalty spot before John Robertson forced home Livi's third. Irvine levelled again lobbing the Eagle before Jim Sherry bulleted home the winner two minutes from the end.

MoM Jim Sherry.
